The speaker from Jordan gave me a different view on how coming to America as a person from middle east can change where you go. Like when she said she didnt want to go to New York because of the attacks on 9/11, she seemed as though she is more americanized because she really doesn’t have an accent or anything. It is also different how parents have something to do with the marriage. I also found it shocking that not that many people drink, she didn’t even know the legal drinking age. I always thought Jordan was apart of Africa, and i didn’t know that they played the neutral role like Canada.

The way she presented was very open, and i didnt feel offended or anything. Its interesting that the media diplays the middle east as all terrorist and destroyed property. When she showed me pics of her family and how everyone don’t always wear that religious scarf. I enjoyed her presentation, and it wasn’t really what i expected. I thought it would be someome that was very bias towards America.
